Working on these games is fucking fun. I want to say that up front, because the rest of what I’m about to write might sound like I’m griping about my life—but I’m not. It’s a lot of fun, and every challenge I face is interesting and a great learning experience. So… I just wanted to get that out of the way.

OK, so—I’m having some problems with Chuma.

I love the guy, but damn, is he an asshole. I have to tap into the most douchebaggy parts of my brain to write this character. Which is interesting, because I don’t think of myself as much of an asshole.

Still, writing him has been a great way to challenge myself—to see just how much of a malcontent I can be. Can I really step into the shoes of a true asshat? Turns out… yeah, I can.

I can’t wait for you guys to play this update and realize what I already know: that Chuma is difficult to love.
